Follow The Northern Lights

Starting from: Reykjavík
Season: 1st Sep-10th Apr
Duration: 3+ days

Follow The Northern Lights - this is our signature northern lights tour and the best way to maximise your chances of seeing the northern lights while in Iceland.

The itinerary is super flexible as we only determine 1-2 days in advance where we travel and where we stay. We will let the short term aurora forecasts guide us to the region(s) or place(s) in Iceland that maximise our chances of catching the northern lights.

Longer tours in the same format are possible - more days will increase our chances even further and there is no shortage of exciting natural sights to discover in Iceland. We can also operate a shorter tour than 5 days but then for logistical reasons we may not be able to hunt for the auroras in the regions that are furthest away from Reykjavik.

Example prices for a 5 day / 4 night tour depending on group size (valid from 1st January 2016):

2 pax - 474000 ISK per person
3 pax - 330000 ISK per person
4 pax - 257000 ISK per person
5 pax - 231000 ISK per person
6 pax - 185000 ISK per person
7 pax - 164000 ISK per person
Single room supplement 24000 ISK

Most northern lights tours follow a fixed sightseeing itinerary and hope to catch the auroras in the evenings at pre-fixed locations. We turn this idea on its head: Hunting down the fickle auroras at night is the priority, so we maintain a flexible sightseeing & overnight schedule.

We travel as far into the countryside as needed to hunt down the northern lights at night, while we pass through the beautiful landscape of Iceland during the day.

You don't have to worry about the hassle of securing accommodation on short notice as our office staff takes care of that while you enjoy the tour.
